    Course Description

    This Business Requirements course is designed to provide students with an in-depth knowledge of requirements development concepts. Beginning with an overview of requirement concepts, students gain understanding of requirement levels and types, requirements flow, characteristics of good requirements, writing good requirements and requirements elicitation techniques, including visual modeling.

    In a combined lecture and workshop laden format, students will learn about the various concepts and techniques, as well as how and when to apply them to reduce requirement errors during projects.

    This course aligns with the v2.0 BABOK® Guide. This course is endorsed by the IIBA® and offers 26 CDU credits.
     

    Course Objectives

    Upon completion of this Business Requirements course, students will be able to:
    • Explain the process of requirements development
    • Explain requirements concepts such as requirements levels and requirements types
    • Discuss and perform the various techniques used in gathering and documenting requirements
    • Utilize a variety of visual modeling techniques to elicit and verify quality requirements
